about: a keeper born to a poor migrant laborer's family in hingashi and one of the lucky few of ijin-origin to be educated in its crown jewel of bukyo, ikkobushi ikki has spent the length of his life fighting. he fought at first to stand out, the second son in a house of two and another three daughters, he was quick to learn that there was little to go around, and what you cannot defend will be taken from you. informed by these foundational revelations, he began the next fight: to advance in society. only a third generation hingan, he still felt the need to prove this was his home; he felt blessed when opportunity called.he attended a shrine every day to pray, and beg its priests to take him under their wing and mentor him in onmyoudou; eventually, his passion won them over, and he spent his adolescence in training. however, a chance meeting with nobility allowed his natural charm to carry him forth into a new venture: a role as one of the man's onmitsu, agents of his court. what once were instruments of his faith were now his tools of espionage, and yet he found no issue with this. rather, the thrill excited him, and the standing didn't hurt.
